Our Spring 2023 Learning Lab will offer intimate and immersive educational opportunities within the Decay Devils’ playground of Gary, Indiana. Limited to 30-attendees this workshop will focus on:

  • Creatively connecting to communities.

  • Empowering and uplifting new voices in preservation.

  • Removing roadblocks from your path to success.

Outdoor Opening Reception: The windows will be on display from August 13, 2021 through September 8, 2021.


Discover: Us, Them, and Now, addresses how people should recognize the nature of our environment and the diversity of people now rather than later. The peering eye symbolizes seeing past the barrier of differences within our cities represented by the hands.

Preserve: People, Places, and Things, showcases the importance of saving places, preserving the history of our cities while acknowledging the good and bad parts. Each picture in the collage tells a story of how people from various communities came together and worked as one to help create a safe useable space.

Grow: Business, Leaders, and Community, focuses on the growth of people within our cities. This includes supporting the needs for a more equally viable political, judicial, and economic climate. The interlocking hand to wrist portrays the trust, love, respect, and support a city needs develop strong leaders within our businesses and communities.

Art x Ice Cream Social Pop Up

Art and ice cream… need I say more?

Join us as we embark on our first ever Artist Pop up with the ArtHouse!

Our Art × Ice Cream Social will feature a variety of ice cream and toppings to choose from as well as 20 original canvas prints that will be auctioned off to support our Union Station Capital Campaign & ArtHouse youth programs.

Come for the ice cream and stay for the farmers market, live DJ, art, auction, & more. This event is suited for all ages!!!

Children tickets come with 2 scoops of their preferred ice cream and adults come with 4. There will be a vegan/ dairy free option available as well.

If you cant attend and want to support feel free to donate tickets to friends/ co-workers, pay-forward scoops for a few individuals, or give directly to the Union Station Capital Campaign.

*Tickets will be available at the door, but pre-sales help us ensure we purchase appropriate supplies.*
